I am a writer living in the heart of Hollywood, navigating my way through the urban rubble while slowly losing my sight. I share a home with an Irishman, two pugs and two cats. I am a Los Angeles native, born near the ocean, moved to the mountains and then to the east coast, but returned home in the mid 1990’s to rediscover my roots. In 2002, I was diagnosed with a rare degenerative retinal disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, and in addition to poetry and short fiction, I write a blog called “Stories from the Edge of Blindness”. My poems, stories and essays have been published in numerous online and print journals across the globe. I have also won a number of writing contests and have been nominated for Best of the Net.
